Damn - I posted my review twice due to being a klutz - not sure how to take the recent one back down.. My real review ranking is two below - ignore this one that says 2.5
    I'm giving it a 5.
    Sorry Riverview.

This is a great place tp play. Do you like to use all the clubs in your bag? Holes 1 and 2 are both 520 yard par 5s, from the whites.
There are serious 180-200 yard par 3s. There are some truly interesting and great looking holes on the back 9 - with the Welland River flowing through.
I played today and paired up with two members, Norm and Brian, who were excellent guys to play with and taught me alot about the course.
Yes, this is a lower-cost and thus less luxurious course than it's expensive neighbour. But the golf here is very good. Excellent at times.
For the life of me, as I look at a couple negative reviews well below from a few years back, I have NO idea what they are talking about.
The ownership and service here was just fine - very poltie, helpful, and on the job.
I hope I get back to Niagara to play at Riverview again.
This is definitely a hidden gem in Niagara.
The front 9 is long, true - 3500 yards, whites - where else do you see that - so you'd know if you need to drive it or walk it.

Played this course for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of a friend. After having driven by it a few times, I was skeptical, but it certainly surpasses its curb appeal, as it is very unassuming from the road.

It’s a typical old school country course. Long, narrow tree-lined fairways, especially the front 9, with small slow greens, and very little trouble.

Overall, it’s nothing exciting or interesting, but a great value on weekdays and mych better than Pelham Hills up the street. $50 walking is a little much on weekends in this area, in my opinion.

The course was in great shape, especially considering the amount of rain we’ve had recently, and the greens had very few ball marks on them, but were quite slow which dampened a lot of the break.

Just a correction to the yardages posted here tho. There are no red tees so the yellow tees are the most forward tees at 5570 yds, which is unfortunate as it makes for a very difficult round for new players and seniors.

If you’re an average hitter off the tee (200-230 yds) I’d recommend playing the yellows on the front 9 and whites on the back 9, for a total yardage of about 2930+2920=5850. But that’s just me.

I’ve been golfing here with my buddy every Sunday at sunrise for over 15 years. Excellent course, even better owners and staff. Zero complaints, only compliments.

This is a hidden gem. A real golf adventure. We played it today mostly out of curiosity, but also because our usual courses were booked solid. A very different back nine. Well worth the trip for this kind of value.

I have been a member here for a few years now and cannot see going anywhere else. Wonkee and Michael along with their family are always accommodating and the course continues to improve every summer!

I enjoyed the course, but it's nothing special. Design is rather unimaginative, but I simply had to provide a rating to counteract Gerorge's 1 star rating. I have played terrible golf courses in my life and Riverview is not one of them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this golf course. For $35 weekday green fee it was beyond what I had expected. Greens were not the fastest I have ever played but were consistent and fair. The course was a bit over watered as I got wet from the spray off the wheels of my push cart.

Two very different 9's which I enjoyed. The back 9 was more interesting but the front was long from the tips.

If you want a fancy club house with all the amenities then you will be disappointed but if you want a good value golf course you will be very surprised and pleased with what you get for your $ here.
