Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,300-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

This is an average golf course and I felt like some of the staff were very rude and had an attitude as if we were lucky to be allowed to even play there! Really? Pro shop girl was pleasant can't say much for anyone else - didn't feel welcome and I won't be back.

The course and greens were really good and fun to play. However I wasn't happy when the marshall asked us to end our round early(after 14 holes). We went for twilight at 5:30 and there was still enough daylight to see just fine when he asked our group to stop because they were pulling out the pins. Any twilight I've ever played stops when it starts getting tough to see the ball. But apparently not at turnberry.
