Don Valley has a great variety of challenging holes. There is water, changes in elevation, imposing trees, well placed bunkers. Club selection and hole strategy are important. The condition of some of the cart paths can be forgiven because of the intriguing collection of challenges. I'm a super senior and playing from the whites suits me just fine. The blues would be great for a 10 handicapper.

While I enjoyed the course, I found the marshals to be pushy. We were held up by several groups ahead of us, yet the marshal tried to speed us up. He got a real earful and finally - finally admitted we were right!! All he had to do was look. Suggestions: (1) train them to look at the WHOLE field and (2) stop that nonsense about where we should be at what time.

Great variety of holes, challenging, club house and practice facilities. Just as good if not better than private clubs I have belonged to and many club link courses. Problems can be slow play because rangers don't enforce slow play and unreasonable cart fees (cause privately owned not by city).
