- Why is this course still referred to as a "Ski Club"? The lift was dismantled years ago. This time of year the gate is locked, Closed sign as well as No Trespassing sign clearly visible on gate. Obviously no skiing, cross country or down hill is allowed. No kids can be seen sledding or tobogganing. So the only conclusion that can be reached, is that the members can feel high and mighty claiming to belong to a "Golf and Ski Club".
