Greenwood Golf Club

Opened in 1963, Stan White carved the design of Greenwood Golf Club from open farmland. White’s trademark is the raising of the green complexes, allowing for elevated greens throughout the layout. Since opening, Greenwood G.C. has been subject to renovations to the tee decks, new holes, and new tree-plantings, lending the course a more mature feel. Water hazards come into play on eight holes in the forms of meandering streams and a smattering of ponds. There are also nearly 30 bunkers strategically situated around the greensides and fairways. One particularly challenging element to be aware of are the gusty prevailing winds that sweep through the course. If you’re not careful, they can greatly affect the outcome of your round at Greenwood Golf Club.
