Whisky Run Golf Club is home to 27 holes of golf, which are conveniently just a short drive from Niagara Falls. Once the site of a prosperous bootleggers operation during prohibition, the club's name references the numerous whisky bottles that were randomly discovered throughout the property when the club was being constructed. The holes are divided into three unique nines.
The Fox Course rolls along the sand dunes on the shores of Lake Erie. Mature trees and ponds are scattered heavily throughout the first half but the final holes open up for some long drives. It is no easy feat to make par, especially with all of the strategically placed bunkers, but the challenge of this golf course makes it Whisky Run’s most popular.
The Serpent Course is a water-filled links course that is completely different from the woodland Owl and the parkland Fox. The Serpent's name comes from the expansive snake-shaped pond that comes into play on five of the nine holes. Southwest breezes coming off Lake Erie often sweep across the gently rolling landscape, creating a few treacherous holes. One of the most challenging is the sixth, which is considered one of Niagara's toughest par 5s.
