Reviews
nice course
This course may have some short holes but the long up hill ones make up for it. It has some tight holes as well just to keep you honest. I really enjoyed Paris Grand the food the course was excellent why 4 stars nobody gets 5 stars
Greens were good
Good speed on the greens; given the problems other courses have had with their greens over the winter, Paris survived quite nicely. If you have a Golf North card, even cheaper green fees.
This course is worth the trip to Paris
Course is not that long but the layout has a good mix of tight and open fairways with small greens. The scenery around the Grand river is excellent. The Par 5 ninth has to be one of the tougher holes in the area, with a layup 2nd short of a ravine and then a 180-200 yard carry to the green.
Well worth the moderate green fees.
Course in best shap of those in the area!
With the winter we've had, this course weathered well and was a most enjoyable experience.
The elevation changes are challenging and fun.
For the average lady, number eight is NOT fun.
I hit a great drive down the center but had to waste a shot to lay up to the ravine/gorge.
Our round took five hours - too long for my money so marshals need to get people to pick up and move along if behind. I've been playing for a long time and if "golf" wants to keep more in the game, then it can't take as long to play.
I would definitely come back and maybe someday, I'll have number eight figured out!
excellent course
I love. Playing Paris Grand whenever i get a chance. Booked it through golf now last minute for a great deal
nice course
Found a good price and decided to try different course somewhat challenging with all the elevations but in OK shape after the brutal winter and we like it , if great deal comes on Golfnow we would play again and travel the distance
very scenic with the rolling hills and being along the river
Great value today being the end of the season. Not too busy, and weather was perfect for this time of year.
Great layout, friendly staff, thumbs up!
Course conditions were great. Staff was great, great value, can't ask for anything more. Hope to come back again!
course is very dramatic
Very friendly and very inviting layout.would play this course anytime.
the course has pristine greens.
earlier the tee-time the sooner the finish, for a morning round of golf.
A good for a great price
The course was in great shape and for a Sunday afternoon, it was a great deal. I would recommend this course to anyone, especially this time of year. The greens were fast and true and the pace of play was good.
More than grand, amazing!
We played this course last year in the fall and wanted to give it a go again in summer conditions. The course is in great condition and provides a fair challenge for all levels of golfers. The course is not overly long, but certain holes require a good level of accuracy to avoid a big number. Holes 8 & 9, are back to back par 5's that can make or break your round. The smart choice to play for par will prove the better road to take. The back nine boasts several holes that run parallel to the Grand river and offer some stunning scenery. I would highly recommend this course to any golfer I know.
beautiful course, very scenic along the river
The course itself is in very good shape, beautiful course to play. The clubhouse is in desperate need of an upgrade, especially the bathrooms.
A jewel in Paris
First time playing this course. Conditions were good. Not long but challenging. Lots of short par 4's but no pushover holes.
Nice features and challenging fairways
Many fairways have slopes, flat areas and deep rough. So you need to plan and shape your shots. Greens are firm and challenging.
The course has some interesting if have not placed ball in a good position then will cost you.
The course was in great shape, some greens had seen some wear die it softness but it was still good to putt on and had you had not put on in high flight then you could be looking at a long putt.
Overall a fun course to play
Although the course is not really long - about 6000 from the blues - it was a lot of fun to play. Shot making was still required and there are a couple of risk reward holes. They do need to improve their yardage indicators on the tee boxes - there were none on the ground making the par 3's a guess - otherwise had a great round, even if it was a bit slow - didn't see a marshall until I hit the 18th green.
nice course needs some martialing
Started at two pm , teamed up with Golf North members play was moving nice , course is in great shape . As we continued play most of the groups where 4 s and some three's we had a three some in front of us playing off the blue tees. As you can imagine one player was skilled enough to play the mid tees the others should have been playing on the forward set to keep play moving. We waited on every hole as we watched the waggon and jagging off the tees walking and eyeing each putt as if to wish it in the whole. A good martial would have surely ask this group to pick up the pace as they soon had two holes between them and the next group. I played as a member at Paris Grand and one of the things I liked was that play was kept moving and the course always had some one martialing unfortunately that was missing my golf day. We did pass this group on the tenth and ended up finishing play at a little over 4 hrs. with a hole between us and the three some, the difference we just playing ready golf.
A must play if you like 'risk/reward'
From checking in at the pro shop to finishing dinner afterwards, the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. As for the golf course, it can be down right mean if you let it.. Several holes offer a very tempting risk/reward tee shot, which gives you a nice choice to make. The greens conditions were very nice, considering we played in the later afternoon, but some of the pin positions were tough. We had a great day and will definitely be back!
good condition
overall very nice course... good condition.... plays well .. lots of fun
