Slow Pace Hot Day
pace could of being quite a bit quicker
A Bargain at Golf Now Rates
I have played this course a few times and have never been disappointed. Overall, the course is very pretty and features very interesting elevation changes and a layout that is both challenging and fun to play. Even during this very dry spring and early summer, the course is in good shape and the greens were true and fairly fast. The greens would have been even better if golfers would take the time to fix their ball marks. Bunkers were also in good condition. The staff were friendly and the beer cart girl made sure we had every opportunity to stay hydrated on a very hot day.
I would definitely recommend this course, particularly when using Golf Now discounts.
Paris Grand
Course is in good shape considering the lack of rain. Greens were very fast. Love the course
Great back 9
The whole course was fun to play but the layout from hole 7 on was a lot of fun. Hole 8, 9, and 15-17 especially
Poor management
GolfNow should know when a course is having a tournament ahead of your tee time. They had a Great Lakes tournament of 60 players teeing off before us. I had brought a friend from Alberta to play. We teed off at 11.10 and finished at 4.50. He was not impressed and neither was I. Sometimes we had 4-5 groups on a hole because the first group was told to stay one hole behind the tournament at all times. This is bad management from GolfNow and the course.
A GRand Time
This is a very challenging course, but a very beautiful one, with a great variety of holes and layout among hills, flats and along the scenic Grand River. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The Nine 'n Diner special was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.
Good and Bad
Course layout was great and enjoyable. Tight fairways and is a course that requires accuracy.
Course turf management should be evaluate. Anything hit onto the rough or green was like watching a ball hit concrete. I'm an avid golfer not a tour pro... Would like something a little forgiving.
Club House Poorly Run
Marshall and cart girl were awesome. Person behind the counter both coming and going was way more interested in talking to his friends than introducing us to the course. Asked what we could get on the turn and we were told they had awesome salmon sandwiches left over from yesterdays salmon dinner, no thanks.
Other choice was a hot dog.
Washrooms were not clean and both coming and going there were no paper towels.
Would have rated course layout higher but number nine is dumb with no signs that there is a drop zone ahead.
great course in every respect for most golfers
great trac have played often. word is it won't be around in two years . those who haven't had the pleasure should take a run at it.
Grand on the Grand
Well maintained. Cart girl was friendly and drove by often. Course was busy but tee time executed wel by starter.
awesome golf
Great track and beautiful along the grand river.
Never again
Our tee off time 12:02pm, we started ar 1:00. Overbooked and people arguing with the starter who was mad.
Ten minute wait on every hole. Course in terrible muddy conditions.
Couldn't finish the round and only played 12.
Terrible experience ....Never again
overbooked
I guess with season coming to a close they decided to overbook the coarse . Couldn't complete round due to crowd
Great Fall Conditions
Greens and fairways are in great condition, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Call before booking
Very disappointed that only the back nine was open. Slow day behind many twosomes. Beautiful October day for a 5 hour round. Will not go back.
VERY slow pace of play!!
Perhaps overbooking and not enough space in between groups. We had to wait on EVERY hole, and sometimes 3 groups on a hole. Way to many, and as a result the back nine was not as enjoyable!!! Our round took 5 hours to play.
nice layout challenging greens
Like this course. Variety of holes. Par threes are nice. Elevation changes.
This course is nice but the design is very unfair
Sign for 18 holes but played only nine - rain and tumder.
Interesting Layout
Great course for all levels of play. A few holes that are a little strange and awkward if you are a beginner, but still overall a great course to play. As a walker, this course can be bit strange; a lot of places you have to leave your bag and walk backwards. A few tee off areas go over roads or beside roads; some houses near holes that can be intimidating for few. I have enjoyed this course every time I play; sometimes the pace of play is a little slow. #8 and #9 to me are just strange holes; just take your medicine and carry on; the rest of the course is great. My favourite hole is #12, just breathtaking with the rail road bridge as a backdrop, just beautiful.
Fun time with great scenery
A very nice course! Challenging long holes for any skill level. The fairways and tee locations are good for beginner to intermediates as well. Highly recommended!
