- This course has gone so far downhill since I played it several years ago that it is almost unrecognizable. I drove an hour to get there--a five minute drive would have been a waste of time. A goat track.I read about this Kawarthas course in the Fall 2011 issue of SCOREGolf and was intrigued--yiou don't find too many reviews of cottage-country nine holers in "The Voice Of Canadian Golf". We drove over from Barrie last October and were blown away! What a fun little course! The Links at Monck's Landing may only measure 3100 yards from the tips, but you're forced to think every yard of the way. A most welcome change from the 7000+ yard bomber's paradises we've seen built throughout the province over the last 20 years. Old-school golf--highly recommended!
