- People who have played the sands this year have no idea of the weather conditions The Sands Staff have fought against this summer. Yes the course has been deeply effected by the severe lack of rain ... it is a country / cottage course ... new tees on holes 2 and 3 ... greens and fairways are in good shape after recent rainfall and preventative maintenance. The staff are limited in number and are trying there best to improve the courseVery disappointing...needs a mini make-
Over. Rather play diamond in ruff or something similar. Dog track - yardage numbers don’t match, signs are terrible, tee box on 5th hole so hard can’t out a tee in. Just needs some TLC a bit of money put into it!
Seriously, plant some nice flowers and clean it up. Get new signs and a few clubwashrs out there !
