Empire Springs is not Pebble Beach. Unfortunately the initial layout was unimaginitive, nevertheless this course comes with its own charms and I use it quite regularly. It is a niche course.
When other courses are busy you can come to Empire Springs for an unplanned pracitce round or, simply for the sheer joy of the game. Never wait and pay only $20.00 for this 3 hour or less enjoyable walk. Of course carts are also available.

Greens here are smooth and soft and there is a number of interesting and challenging holes. New sand is being installed in traps too. In addition, and unlike other "practice courses" it is a full length course, more than 6000 yards from whites. The hardworking proprietors are very friendly and personable and are constantly improving the course. There is also a large, beautiful and under-utilized club room suitable for parties, banquets, festive occasions and for hosting after-tournament parties. A Bargain! Don't overlook it.

My family bought a Groupon for this place and was excited to enjoy some family time... but all that was ruined by the owner's constant badgering and following us for most of the course. The fact that we were there with Groupon clearly displeased him and attacked us for every little thing that we did. We left sooner than we planned and NEVER coming back.

Family run business with good customer service oriented owners. The golf course is right in front of you and is a challenge. Greens are in good shape.
If you want a good paced round - less than 4 hours this is the place to golf.
